Field Notes
The Wyvern is not a dragon, and it is not a spider. It is an underdark siege-creature wearing a shape the surface world has myths for: wings torn by webbing, blind white eyes, chitin-scarred hide, and a venomous tail that moves with ancient malice. When it screams, the sound feels less like an animal cry than a bell from a wrong chapel.
Its purpose is force. Where Velkari sing and spiders infiltrate, the Wyvern breaks lines, shatters wards, and turns battlefields into panic. It is the underdark’s answer to walls, shields, and songs — a living battering ram from a place that should have remained sealed.
